Christmas Gifts for the Starbucks Lover

Being a nanny is one of the most rewarding jobs ever, but it’s also one of the most exhausting. We work schedules that are longer than most, put in 11-12 hour days and often fill in where needed on weekends. But the bigger picture is we become a part of a bonus family. We are trusted with the most precious things in a family’s life, and get to help shape the next generation of humans on this planet.

Just like the parents we work in partnership with, we cherish our down time. Sometimes, all it takes is a few nap time hours of quiet to renew our spirit for that post nap afternoon rush. But I also couldn’t do my job without my nanny friends. They’re just as important to me as my downtime, and sometimes I even sacrifice nap time silence to debrief with them.

These amazing friends, dare I say co-workers, and the team of parents we get to collaborate with, inspired the greatest silent night gift basket around.Mama needs a silent night.

But really, how much harm could skipping one night of glacial pace reading practice do?

I grabbed those amazing ‘have yourself a merry little cocktail’ gold foil napkins from Home Goods, along with the glitter travel tumbler. It has taken everything in me not to keep that gorgeous tumbler for myself.

As an original Seattlite, I love Starbucks (don’t start fussing, I cherish my local artisanal latte even more, but sometimes a girl just needs a reliable peppermint mocha). They make wonderful hot cocoa, that just happens to be packaged in adorable tins.

Double win!

If you’ve been around a while, you might know I used to sell reusable coffee sleeves on Etsy. I’ve since stepped away from that endeavor, but it means I have a wealth of sleeves lying around. Anyone need some festive holiday sleeves? I’ve got plenty. The falala latte and let it snow in silver glitter are two of my absolute favorites.

Lastly, but most importantly, is the Kahlua. What’s a quiet kid free night with out a little something extra in your cocoa? The kiddos are in bed after all! Spike that drink girlfriend!Have I told you the best part yet? This Santa’s sack inspired gift bag doubles as one of those trendy canvas banners. Want to know how to make your own?
