Throw a Gilmore Girls Party: Featuring Shop Monday Party

bar-cart-v-iiThere are few shows in my life that I can say really changed the way I see the world. I know all the places to avoid in New York thanks to Law & Order: SVU, Mr. Rogers taught me to be kind to my neighbor and Real Housewives taught me that the world is nutso-crazy. But the show that really broke through to me, that grew up with me, was Gilmore Girls.

My mom and I watched Gilmore Girls every week together. We ignored my dad’s endless irreverent questions, endured the endless network switches and even stuck through the writing change, but oh have we missed you Amy Sherman Palladino.
So, it’s pretty safe to say that Gilmore Girls is my favorite show of all time.

In honor of the Gilmore Girls Netflix revival, I wanted to throw a Gilmore themed party to celebrate my favorite mother-daughter duo. From the decor to the drink recipes, Shop Monday Party has created a Gilmore Girls inspired party box, perfect for your revival celebration. I styled my favorite up-cycled Ikea bar cart just for the occasion and cannot wait to see your version of the revival party!

We filled ours with the ‘Luke’s After Dark Latte’ recipe included with the package, yum!bar-cart-coffee-sleeveI am obsessed with this signature Shop Monday Party reusable coffee sleeve. If you put it on a Starbucks cup and squint real hard at your barista, you may see him trade his green apron for a backwards cap and flannel, one could only hope!bar-cart-candybart-cart-candy-ivbar-cart-candy-ii I am only slightly embarrassed to admit that I ate all of my “tastes like pink” candies in one sitting. They were delicious! Sour, sweet and chew like a gummy… my weakness! Can you name the episode this candy’s name references?

Possibly my favorite part of the whole box is these tissues. Why tie dye? Anyone remember Rory’s first day at Chilton? I’m so beyond ready to wallow in these printed tissues when we finally hear those four final words that were always meant to end an era.

Are you a Wannabe Gilmore Girl too?
